Travel on Day of Filming
As we are planning to go to many different locations on Thursday 28th November, we thought it would be a good idea to arrange the order in which we visit the locations and how we will get there. To help us work out the time in which we will arrive at the locations and how to get there, we have used Google Maps. We know, due to our school timetables, we will be leaving Shenfield High School at 12:20pm. From here we have decided we should visit our Romford/Gidea Park locations due to lighting. As we plan to shoot here outdoors and in Brentwood indoors, it makes sense to go from Shenfield Station to Romford Station and arrive at our outdoor locations as early as possible.
Please use the arrows to navigate through the times in which we plan to complete activities. To find out more about each activity please click on the titles.

Weather Forecast for Day of Filming
Prior to our day of filming on Thursday 28th November we have ensured that the weather will not negatively impact our filming. When filming in Hackney the weather was overcast with no rain. Due to continuity we plan to have the same weather when filming outdoors in Romford/Gidea Park. Thick cloud is forecast for Thursday, with no indication of rain which means our filming will be able to go ahead. We know however that forecasts can change and so we will be checking the BBC Weather website up until the day of filming.
Risk Analysis - Kidspace
As part of the filming process, we had to complete a risk assessment form in order to make sure that the environment we were using was safe enough to film in. Kidspace kindly provided us with a risk assessment form that they had on their system which had been recently updated and this form is displayed below:

Storyboard
Here is a teaser as to what is to come in our music video. We are not following any story lines or narratives in our music video, just random scenes and shots of us performing in situations we found ourselves when we were younger.
For this taster I have used Pixton which I found easy to use and appears very professional. A drawback I found of this website however would be the fact I was only able to use seven boxes in which to show the planned shots for our video. As we have so many locations and scenes, this was not enough to include everything that will feature in our video and so I plan to create a physically drawn out storyboard in the future. This will mean there will not be a limit to the amount of shots and scenes I can feature and so I can go into further detail about our plans.
This will then make it easier to film our music video as we will have a much more detailed and enhanced storyboard, as oppose to seven slides which carry very little detail.

Codes and Conventions of Chosen Genre
After typing up my presentation on Codes and Conventions in a word document, I felt that I needed an alternative way on how to present my work, and on research discovered Zooburst, a website in which you can present posts in a story book format. I found this a very easy and effective presentation method, and will be looking to use this again in the future.

SAE Institute
On Thursday 7th November JJJMedia, along with a few other media groups from our year, went to visit the SAE Institute in London. We spent the day touring the institute and watching them demonstrate some of the industry standard equipment they have including REDCam and Steadicam as well as their music studios. This gave us motivation to film as soon as we left the premises and so we found some graffitied garages and a block of flats within a 5 minutes walk of the institute and got to work.
These locations were not in our initial location ideas video and were not planned. Below are some photos of our day.

Initial Location Ideas
Below is a video of Joel and James taking you through a few of our initial location ideas. We felt it was important for us to make this video to give us a few ideas as to what we would do when it comes to filming the actual video. If we have already seen the area and have an idea of what to film, we will be more efficient on the day.

Synopsis
We have many locations lined up as we understand that pop
music videos have lots of fast cuts from place to place and several costumes
being performed in. So far we have had ideas to use:
·
Kidspace
·
An empty road
·
A children’s play area (Lodge Farm Park)
·
Rafael’s Park
·
Hackney
·
An empty cinema
·
The school
We have gained many ideas from visiting our locations and
also watching professional pop/rap music videos. We have many unique, random
ideas however such as reading whilst sliding down a hand rail, racing in
children’s go-karts, being sucked in by slides and also getting various angles
of playing with the guns at Kidspace. We have endless amounts of ideas for our
music video as we often brainstorm as a group and make note of every idea. To
fit the codes and conventions of pop/rap music videos we will have some shots
of James and Joel simply performing in front of the camera. This is will show
that the artists are professional as they have the stage presents to put on a
show and entertain viewers. We are unsure as to how professional and realistic
some of our ideas will be when put in
our final product and therefore we are planning to shoot much more than we
need, in order to get the best results possible. From researching pop/rap music
videos it became apparent that the common clothing artists wear is casual jeans
and t-shirts/shirts which we plan to wear to fit this genre.
